Group Account Director
Job Description
You are an inspiring leader that brings passion and care to everything you do. You’re a partner, entrepreneur and a driver of growth for your clients' businesses. You are experienced in leading successful pitches and large-complex campaigns and comfortable being hands-on when needed.
Your focus is on enhancing your clients' business and brand through compelling creator marketing solutions for clients and prospective clients. You ensure the smooth running of a portfolio of accounts and lead and empower a motivated team to deliver high levels of client service and strategic, creative and reporting excellence.
You are recognised as the overall relationship lead by the client.
Responsibilities
Business Management
Responsible for business leadership and for leading the agency through an understanding of client marketing and their business.
Responsible for campaign planning and scoping alongside the Account Directors and in collaboration with all agency teams and partners.
Leads RFPs and pitches
Identifies organic growth opportunities and leads growth plans. Builds out a pipeline of secured work.
Allocates resources creatively, balancing client needs with profitability and scope.
Relationship Leadership
Ensures the agency operates on a solid foundation by building strong senior client relationships through business and marketing acumen.
Possesses a deep understanding of clients' business issues, marketing, industry, competitors, and brands uses these insights to help clients to articulate their needs, and the agency to propose groundbreaking solutions.
Easily builds rapport and trust with clients
Communicates powerfully, is credible and instils trust with executive clients.
A senior stakeholder on key cross-agency or IAT meetings and/or issues.
Resolves conflict easily and quickly, reducing organization and interpersonal issues.
Strategic Development
Leads all programme plan development and partners with strategy to create innovative ways to impact client business results.
Treats their budgets as if they are your own, driving effectiveness and efficiency
Attends important brand or IAT planning sessions and kick-offs
Persuasively drives new client recommendations.
Understands the influencer and social space, technology and platforms within the clients marketing mix. Inspires clients and agency to new platform solutions with creators.
Continually inspires teams to generate new ideas and evolve existing programs.
Campaign or Project Oversight
Top-level oversight of campaign development stages to ensure the work meets client expectations and further development opportunities are highlighted through the process supporting Account Directors
Adds insights during creative concept reviews and provides direction on how to 'expand' the brief and solution for further development.
Attends creative presentations on campaigns and plays a pivotal role in selling the work.
Financial Management
Monitors and improves the financial health of account(s) and projects
Considers all financial implications of business decisions and chooses solutions that grow the agency's bottom line.
Attends regular client financial planning discussions.
Requirements
10+ years in a client-facing role
Familiarity with the creator, social and digital marketing landscape
Previous experience in the fashion, beauty and retail sectors is preferred.
Proven ability to grow and maintain successful accounts and relationships over time.
History of identifying problems or opportunities and taking the lead in solving them
