In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior members of the creative team and get the chance to explore original, fresh solutions to brand challenges, ideas that drive impact, spark conversation, and harness the power of creators.
This is a junior role, so no industry experience is required. What matters most is your passion for ideas, visuals, words, creators, and social media. You should be familiar with what’s going on in the world of digital and social across the world, and not scared to suggest ideas that are on-brief but maybe have never been seen before.
Main duties and Responsibilities
You will be expected to…
Creative Thinking and Making
- You have 1-4 years of creative experience, supporting senior creatives in developing original ideas, writing and shaping creative briefs, and assisting with various production tasks. Your background is specifically in campaigns powered by influencers and creators across a variety of marketing channels.
- Work alongside senior members of the team to develop creative solutions that help brands connect with consumers.
- Think of original solutions for campaign ideas, content series, GIPHY sticker packs, influencer gifting concepts, creator collaborations, and more.
- You'll bring ideas to life by blending compelling copywriting with powerful visual references in Google Slides.
- Present your ideas internally to senior creatives and the wider project teams.
- Grow and develop your abilities in the core areas required for a creative at BDB; originality, craft, & articulation through training and development opportunities.
- Form an understanding of what you need to stimulate your own creative thinking, and how long certain tasks will take you.
- A deep knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Understanding of simple animation and motion graphics is a big plus, but not a deal-breaker.
- Proficient in AI tools (Midjourney, Gemini, ChatGPT, etc)
Essential Experience & Skills
- You will be expected to confidently work in partnership with other creative & design team members and share learnings and knowledge with the entire agency.
- You’ll be experienced in working with Strategists, Client leads,and Producers in a general day-to-day capacity.
- You’ll be expected to understand the landscape of marketing in general, the specifics of influencer marketing and the roles of the different agencies within that landscape.
- You’ll also be expected to know a wide selection of creators/ influencers and the content they create, and continue building this knowledge throughout your role at BDB.
- You should also have a great knowledge of social/digital media channels; including those less adopted by the masses (eg. Reddit, Discord).
Attributes
- A passion for digital marketing, ideally social media or influencer marketing.
- Confident explaining your ideas to others in written or visual form.
- Copywriting skills to clearly articulate ideas and write headlines/caption copy. .
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and happy to share prototyped, unfinished ideas.
- Desire to push for ideas that are less expected and remarkable.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excited to be part of a tight-knit yet growing team and industry.
