Senior Director, Strategy
Billion Dollar Boy is looking for a Senior Director, Strategy to help shape the future of creator-powered marketing, translating culture, creativity, and commerce into work that drives measurable impact for brands.
As a senior leader within our Creative Strategy team, you’ll help set the standard for how BDB approaches strategic storytelling, creator-led ideas, and the evolving social landscape. You’ll connect cultural insight to commercial opportunity, leading high-impact client and new business initiatives, inspiring bold creative thinking, and evolving the strategic frameworks and services that define how we work.
This role is perfect for someone who sees the full picture, from the creator’s feed to the client’s bottom line. Someone who’s as comfortable leading a room of executives as they are writing a sharp insight or building a new process. You’ll be part strategist, part operator, part builder – leading with curiosity, collaboration, and conviction.

In this role, you’ll lead the strategic direction on new business RFPs and key client initiatives, defining how brands show up in culture through creators and content. You’ll shape clear, insight-driven strategies that inspire creativity, drive results, and strengthen BDB’s position as a leader in social and influencer marketing.
Strategic Direction and Growth
- Lead strategic development across new business and high-impact client opportunities, crafting narratives that connect insight, creativity, and commercial outcomes. 
- Interrogate briefs to uncover the real challenge, clarify objectives, and establish the strategic foundation for creative and influencer work. 
- Apply commercial fluency to every brief by connecting creator strategy to brand goals, performance metrics, and ROI. 
- Partner with senior leadership and New Business to identify whitespace opportunities, shape proposals, and drive growth across clients. 
- Model confidence and clarity in navigating ambiguous or undefined client asks, setting direction for both teams and clients in moments of uncertainty. 
Team Development and Operations
- Partner with senior strategy leadership to define the vision, structure, and evolution of BDB’s global strategy practice and US-market implementation. 
- Operate as both a senior individual contributor with full ownership of key strategic deliverables and a team leader providing oversight and guidance to Strategy team members on high-priority projects. 
- Mentor and develop emerging Strategists while shaping how the Strategy team partners across the agency. Provide day-to-day guidance on the work and help build a culture of curiosity, accountability, and creative bravery, with potential for future direct people leadership as the team grows. 
- Strengthen team operations and collaboration by leading functional projects that refine tools, templates, and processes to improve efficiency and output. 
- Collaborate with global Strategy peers to ensure alignment, shared learnings, and consistent delivery of BDB’s strategic standards across markets. 
Innovation and Industry Impact
- Lead the evolution of creator-powered marketing strategies, from influencer casting to content architecture, distribution, and performance. 
- Translate emerging trends, audience behaviors, and platform shifts into actionable insights that inform both creative and business strategy. 
- Define and pilot new strategic services, deliverables, and frameworks that expand BDB’s offering and create measurable client and business impact. 
- Collaborate with Analytics and Paid Media to build full-funnel strategies that connect storytelling to measurable performance. 
- Represent BDB’s strategic vision externally through panels, press, and industry thought leadership that positions the agency at the forefront of social and creator marketing innovation.. 
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as a strategic counterpart to Creative, Production, and Client Services leads, ensuring integrated, cohesive work across every stage of a campaign. 
- Champion a collaborative, solutions-focused culture that bridges creative ambition with commercial rigor. 
- Evolve BDB’s strategic frameworks and methodologies to continually enhance creative effectiveness, scalability, and impact. 
- 10+ years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, or creative strategy roles at agencies or brands. 
- Proven ability to craft strategies that connect cultural insight, brand purpose, and creator storytelling to measurable business outcomes. 
- Deep understanding of social and creator ecosystems, including platform behaviors, creator economics, content performance, and audience engagement. 
- Strong communicator and storyteller who can distill complex ideas into clear, persuasive narratives for senior clients and cross-functional partners. 
- Strategic leader with creative instincts and commercial fluency, able to move seamlessly between high-level vision and hands-on execution. 
- Experienced collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and can build trusted relationships across teams and markets. 
- Entrepreneurial mindset, energized by building, experimenting, and leading innovation within a growing creative organization.
